An angel

Silently appears
slippery and shy
a pilgrim tear
in your beautiful eyes.
Your glimpse is damp
with crystal drops
and your heart palpitates
sobs of sorrows.
A faded portrait
of an angel that has gone
you miss him so much
so sweet and lovely was.
In each bright star
shining in the sky
you will ever see
his angelical smile.
A glint of sadness
in your broken heart
a fervent prayer
mitigate your grief.

    I liked the beautiful assonance in the first lines "damp/drops". I feel the sadness at the bottom of your heart and this prayer for this angel who has flown away, appease that grief wrapped in your soul. Memories impressed in our mind fo ever. Thanks Maria Gioia for this emotion that you have aroused in our hearts.

    Un angelo

    Si affaccia silenziosa
    scivolosa e timida
    una lacrima pellegrina
    nella soglia dei tuoi occhi.
    Si annebbia lo sguardo
    con gocce cristalline
    il tuo cuore palpita
    singhiozzi di dolore.
    Fotografia scolorita
    di angelo andato via
    rimpiangi la sua presenza
    così dolce, così carino.
    In ogni stella
    che brilla nel cielo
    risplenderà
    il suo angelico sorriso.
    Nel tuo cuore
    un velo di tristezza,
    ardente preghiera
    attenua il tuo dolore.
